Our Story

Zachary Patalingjug has an extensive study of art history and architecture.  He has traveled to 13 countries and 34 states, often focusing his travel time learning about local culture and seeing amazing art and performances.  He spent over 20 years in higher education business management, supervising large scale capital projects and public funds.  He now spends all his time in the hospitality industry.  In addition to his degree in art history, Zach has a Master’s of Business Administration and has managed hundreds of large business contracts.  Zach is excited to help you fall in love with his adopted city and the ever evolving culture of the DC region.

 

Dr. Karlo Silbiger has worked in education for 22 years, first as a music and history teacher and now as the education policy director for the second largest school system in Washington DC.  He has 4 degrees in education and extensive experience developing k-12 curriculum that matches state and national standards.  He has led professional development sessions for teachers, counselors, and school administrators.  He has also planned and chaperoned 8 student educational trips to New England, the northeast, Japan, and Spain.  Karlo is excited to create educational experiences for all guests that make cultural history come alive.
